Hypothyroidism





Okay so I know I haven't been posting still. I've been going through some changes but am still working to get my butt back on track!

Recently I have been wondering if I suffer from hypothyroidism. My dad and uncle both suffered severely from it and I can't help but wonder if I have it as well. I might seek a blood test from my doctor to test me for it. 

I have been reading up on it in the meantime..... I'm most shocked to see that over half my diet is on the do not eat list. Namely: broccoli, cauliflower, kale, brussels, cabbage, spinach, soy! I think I'm going to try to eat more thyroid friendly foods for a few weeks and see if it makes me feel any better. I'll eat more: coconut oil, nori seaweed, kelp, fish, Nd most nuts. I wont be cutting out my veggies but I will be making sure to cook them because I read that 2/3 of goitrogens are removed through heat. This may put up a huge damper on febrawary.... But if it makes me feel better the. Oh well! I'll try to update with what I eat and how I'm feeling.

I sill don't have a computer so I can't post any pictures. For now I'm just posting through my old iPod touch
