So as I'm trying to get fit I have made sure to vocalize to those around me of my goals. Not in the obnoxious way, but just talking about what I do in my free time (exercise, blog, read fitness books, etc). At work sometimes my coworkers bring yummy food and at least now they know I won't be partaking in the deliciousness for awhile. It also gets me the opportunity to discuss workout strategies and progress. One of my bosses was talking about how she never has the willpower to hit the gym. Another boss encouraged her to post pictures around her house of her inspirations (I chirped in and said this is something I did to get me motivated). Then a coworker chirped in and said she can't get motivated either and she uses something called "Pre-Workout" to get her butt off the couch. This girl is insanely fit so I was pretty eager to hear how she does it.
At first I was eager to get to GNC and purchase one but then I remembered I'm trying to avoid pills and toxins as overall these cannot have any good side effects. I looked up the healthiest and safest ways to take them and the only way I could see myself getting any is for the days when I seriously cannot get motivated to get up. I wish I had them for last weeks overnight shifts but I managed well enough without them.
For the time being I'm going to try to avoid supplements. I'd be more impressed and proud of myself if I can motivate myself to get to the gym. Plus, this is a lifestyle makeover I'm aiming for and I don't want to start thinking that I cant hit the gym if I don't have my supplements. It's just another added cost.
All that being said, I did find it motivating to hear from my coworkers that its a struggle for them, as well, to workout. Sometimes when I'm at the gym I feel like I'm the only one who has trouble getting there each day. I wonder if the check in people at the front counter judge me every time they swipe my card. lol.
I wore this outfit on Friday for a date night with my boyfriend and I felt so confident and great. He thought I looked good and it was fun to wear a Spring inspired outfit finally. Once it's warmed I'll probably wear it with a jean skirt, instead, and flip-flops. I was thinking of maybe wearing this top to the concert next friday.
Stay encouraged - Spring is just around the corner! (right?!) Evidently, wrong, but it'll come eventually!
