Spring Dreams

I am itching for warm weather! I absolutely cannot wait to open all the windows (minor detail that half the windows in our apartment do not open) and let the warm breeze freshen the whole place. That's one thing only a midwesterner can understand, I think. We keep all the windows on lockdown for 4 months and then we get that first warm breeze and every year it feels like something we've never experienced before because it's so refreshing. When I go to sleep at night, I have been trying to picture beaches with warm sand and lots of sun. Last summer I stayed inside for most of it. I felt self conscious about my body and truly didn't want to go out much. But that cannot happen this summer!

  I have to get in shape at least enough that I'm comfortable wearing shorts (which I have NEVER been comfortable wearing shorts).  And dresses! And white capris! (I wouldn't be comfortable wearing white pants at the weight I'm currently at). This is motivation when I'm at the gym, too. I picture different clothes I want to wear and remind myself that I'll never have the guts to wear them unless I slim down.

Unfortunately, the Pearl Jam concert I was so looking forward to sold out in like 10 minutes. So tickets that were ranging between $54-$77 are now being sold for $350-$3000. Unless Pearl Jam announces a second show, I can sadly say I might have to erase that from my list of things to do this summer. Which means, I need a new set of outfits to imagine myself in!



Oh! And I got my hair extensions in from amazon, that I mentioned in this Love Your Body post, on Tuesday.  I had straightened my hair that morning but when I saw it in the mail I just had to try it on! One thing I think they can work on is packaging! It just came in a plastic ziploc inside a yellow envelope. Not very professional. And 2) Whenever I really wear it, I will have to style my hair in with the waves of the extension so it blends better.... but 3) I'm 99% sure they sent me the wrong color which is exactly what I was afraid of. Based on the packaging and the color issue I would not recommend these hair extension but on the plus side, for only $8 I got to try some out and I think I would want to invest in the really good ones. Keep feeling sexy!
