Compliments are sexy!

Image taken from the TIU Nutrition plan. :)
The end of this week was really motivating. A handful of people at work commented on my progress. The first compliment felt good, like FINALLY an acknowledgement that I'm changing! Then the compliments just kept coming. I'm not one to really receive compliments so it made me a little uncomfortable but at the same time I'm really excited about it. One woman said she saw my lunch one day which consisted of garbanzo beans, lettuce, and shredded carrots and she went out and tried to make the same thing. Lol. Then she said she guessed about my dressing. (she guessed right!) :) And then I was told my skin looks amazing and really healthy. Not trying to brag (I dont see a tremendous difference at all in my appearance yet!) but it just goes to show that eating right and exercising does pay off in so many ways! The only thing different I've done with my skin care is I started using a primer in the morning and I switched to "YES to carrots" eye cream. Otherwise, same old same old!

So yeah, anyone who is out there or reading this, Let's Keep Going!!!!!! We can do this! I just want to try to make each day better than the last... And if I have a bad day, I just want to immediately bounce back so it doesn't become habit.

I bought Jillian Michaels "30 Day Shred" DVD which she recommends doing every single day.  I'm sure as hell going to try! I figure I can have it ready in my DVD player in the morning and aim to do that for my BC (although I'm also excited to try Tara Stiles and Blogilates!) I feel really encouraged about all these workout routines to try! I know my weight isn't shedding anymore like it was but I am positive that I still have inches coming off which I suppose is just as good. I still need to adjust my scale or replace the batteries because my results have been coming in all over the place. Literally in one day it's saying I can fluctuate up to 8 pounds with varying fat and muscle percentages. It just doesn't seem right so I have to look into that. :)

I also picked up some grocery essentials to keep me going strong. It's really frustrating to me how expensive eating healthy is though! Choosing organic pretty much doubles the bill and then adding protein and produce is way more pricey that pasta & ragu. Lol. But the bottom line has to be that I'm paying for good health now instead of paying for poor health later, right? :) Plus, I feel really happy eating healthy and that adds more to my life than any crappy food ever will!
